Vol.1 is the first compilation of the independent label ORIS, which shows the various aesthetics, sensibilities and approaches of the eleven artists that comprise it. An oscillation in the depths of contemporary emotion, a manifesto: here we are, we are alive, we are together and this is our collective voice. It has taken us a year of organization, dedication and care. We dedicate it with respect and love to all those who fight and to those who are no longer here.

ORIS is an independent label that was born in Mexico. It is made up of women, trans and non-binary identities dedicated to sound composition and production from multiple fronts. ORIS is the origin and meeting point of a complex rhizome created by frequencies and sounds with much to say. Active listening and the relativity of time —from individuality— are factors that give meaning to each of the discourses that are issued here. ORIS operates from a principle of sorority and diversification of possibilities in the Latin American electronic music scene.
